Day tours to fish the local seamount (Bowns Mountain ) which is situated 22 nautical Miles or 45 Km offshore .

Equipment used are purpose built Alvey winches loaded with 200 lb breaking strength braid. Because of the water depth (up to 500 metres) and weight of sinkers required , two persons are required to operate each reel on a team basis

Tours take place on board the ocean going power catamaran Halicat 16 m long x 6m beam. Cruising speed 15 knots.

The Halicat is licensed by the Waterways Authority& NSW Fisheries Survey No 18883

Cost per person $300 pp day

Includes all fishing gear , bait & morning tea ,nibbles

Weather conditions must be suitable for a tour to take place. Participants should therefore be flexible in their availability

Trips are scheduled for one weekend day per month throughout the year Min number of participants 8 max 12

Departs Rose bay at 07.00 (could be earlier) & returns after 15.00hrs

Participants must be fit & well and know of no reason why they should not undertake such sea going journey.
