excellent all-round access of the HALICAT stand-up fights
are the go, but for the real big ones a game chair is also

The water is warmer here, where the
bigger pelagic fish roam in search of food. There is good
year-round fishing for Tuna species - Albacore, Yellowfin
and Striped Tuna. During the warmer months, when tropical
waters stream south, Pacific Blue, Black and Striped Marlin
are available along with tropical fish such as Mahi Mahi
and Wahoo. Sharks are caught year round with the predominant
species being Mako, Blue and Tiger Shark. We do not encourage
the killing of Marlin or Sharks. These are tagged and set
free. To maintain fish stocks we endorse a policy of retaining
enough of the catch for a good meal and releasing the rest
for next time.
