Halicat charters boats through Sydney’s pelagic waters taking visitors ocean sightseeing The waters off Sydney Harbour swarm with bountiful cetaceans & seabirds which can’t be seen from land. This nature watching tour will take you to Australia’s best ocean marine life. You will see dolphins including the Bottlenose, Common & Risso, Whales, like the Humpback, Minke, Pilot and also False Killer Whales & Sperm Whales.

Whales Watching is seasonal with May-June and Sept-November being the peak season for the Humpback migration as it passes Sydney.

Sydney Harbour Bird Watching

You will venture out to the waters of the continental shelf where land is just a speck in the distance, to see magnificent ocean creatures in their own environment.

See the majestic endangered Wandering Albatross, the King of Seabirds, alongside the minute elegant storm petrels. Some of the other species you will encounter in this bird watching trip include the great winged petrels, giant petrels, prions , shearwaters , jaegers (skuas).

These bird watching tours attract Sydney marine life by use of a chum mixture that is thrown into the ocean and as the boat drifts silently with the ocean currents those on board appreciate the ocean sightseeing and marine life that begin to circle around. The albatross and other species often come with in minutes and surround the boat, so bring your cameras.

Boat Tours are scheduled for the 2nd Saturday of each month starting at 07:00hrs and returning at 15:00hrs. Additional nature chartering boat tours may be available during certain months. Please contact us for more information.

Exclusive private charters are available to any groups keen on viewing Sydney’s marine life.
