2012 Sydney to Hobart Yacht Race Start Boxing Day - 26th December

Out on the harbour is the only way to experience at close range the boats as they make their way from the CYC for the pre race preparations & manoeuvres. Then at 1pm the starter’s gun sends them all on their way in a mad scramble to be first out the heads.

Join us on board the sports catamaran Halicat for the start of this year’s race.

After the start we will choose an nice secluded & sheltered anchorage to break out the picnics and maybe take a relaxing swim.

Pick up on the harbour south side at
Rose Bay Ferry Wharf 10.00 hrs
Lavender Bay Ferry Wharf 10.30 hrs
Return approx 15.00 hrs
